Who would think that a flat tire on a dark and deserted road could be one of the best things to ever happen?
Cassie Reynolds was content with her life or so she thought. After a full weekend of celebrating her birthday, she goes to work thinking it will be just another typical workday. Carmichael who has agreed to drop Cassie off for her appointment.
After Mr. LeVitt’s introductions, Cassie gets an even bigger shock when Eelyn comes strolling into the room and takes a seat next to Lenora, her father’s widow. Feeling sick to her stomach and thinking her world is crashing down, Cassie does the only thing she can—she runs with no intention of looking back.
The one thing Cassie forgets is that things are seldom what they seem and Eelyn M. Carmichael has already made up her mind that Cassie Reynolds is not going to be the one who got away because some things that happen in the now, can and do last forever.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was intriguingly well put, it was mysterious. I had a open mind about the ending even though it was a short story it was a amazing story. Trin Denise has done it again. Congested u get five stars from me and I'm not a five star gal. )

I know every lesbian in America is going to see my masculine name on this review and say, "he just thought the sister thing was erotic". But really, this is hardly the only romance story where one-time lovers suddenly discover that they may be siblings.
I didn't actually think it was prurient, I thought it was hilarious and handled very well. The reader is supposed to say "ewwww!". That's what the author intended, so that the final revelation will come as a relief.
Ms Denise is very adept at manipulating a reader's emotions and I, for one, will read anything she writes.
This was a well written story with lots of deviations to
keep you hooked. It was totally unpredictable and lots
of unforeseen drama. It's the best story I've read so far!!
I enjoyed this. I wonder what a more detailed novel would be like, how would the storyline develop. I would read other work by this author.
Excellent story and extremely entertaining. I kept thinking.. "What will happen next". I really enjoyed the journey while reading this book. The story took my imagination on many directions..

Very enjoyable story. Very well written and interesting. I have enjoyed everything I have read written by Ms Denise. One of my favorite lines in the story "every pot has a lid." To find out what that really means you will have to read this novella.
There was a lot that was good about this novella, but then there was the twist... Love at first sight is always tantalizing. Without spoiling it, my personal opinion is that the twist killed it. Passage of time wasn't comfortable. Not bad writing otherwise.
At the end of the story was a "short" preview of another story. The dialogue was forced and annoying.
Excellent book. I have come to expect nothing less than excellent from this author since The Death ZoneMurder on Mount Everest. I am rarely disappointed. Take a few moments and read a book by this author you will not be sorry .
